Please join us for the community day trip to ZAGNY Dar-e-Mehr trip Suffern, NY scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023.
We recommend that the ZAGBA Religion class families consider coming, as ZAGNY will be holding a joint children’s class at the Dar-e-Mehr along with the ZAPANJ and ZAMWI communities who will also be attending.
ZAGBA has chartered a bus to go to the Dar-e-Mehr. Bus service is based on first come first served RSVPs. RSVPing will not hold the seat. Payment needs to be received along with the RSVP to reserve your seat.
You are welcome to bring light snacks/breakfast items/fruits to share along with some paper plates and napkins for individual use and some extra to share. ZAGBA will provide water only.
NOTE: We can only accommodate 45 people on the bus. Others are welcome to travel by car and meet us at the Dar-e-Mehr.
DATE OF EVENT: SATURDAY, SEPT 9, 2023
TIMELINE: 7:30am – 8:00 am Meet at Riverside Train (Green line D) Station (NEWTON) MBTA station and Bus Stop.
Address: 367 Grove Street, Newton MA 02466. Parking is available at the Riverside Station, for approx. $6 all day. You can pay by PayByPhone app. The bus leaves sharply at 8:00am. Please arrive on time.
11:30am –12:00pm ZAGNY, ZAPANJ group start arriving.
12:00pm – 1:00pm Meet and Greet, Tour the building for newcomers. Visitors may visit the Prayer Hall for prayers.
Light snacks and other refreshments served.
1:00pm Prayer Circle Time. All participants join together for a Humbandagi.
1:15pm Aatash Nyaesh for the kids in the Prayer Hall and Kebla with mobeds from all 4 associations.
1:30pm – 3:00pm Combined Children’s Religion Classes. Kids of various age-groups go to the allocated classrooms.
1:30pm – 3:00pm Adult Talk/Discussion in main hall.
3:00pm Lunch
4:30pm Disperse and board the bus.
8:00pm Approximate arrival back to Boston at Riverside Train Station (NEWTON)
COSTS If traveling by bus: $50 per person (same price for adults and children). This includes transportation, as well as light refreshments, followed by lunch sponsored by ZAGNY at the Dar-e-Mehr.
Please note that the ZAGBA Board is subsidizing the cost per person, with the true total cost amounting to $70 per person. If you would like to pay the full $70 amount or donate any other amount above the $50, your gesture would be truly appreciated.
If traveling on your own (not by bus) – $25 per person (adults and children above the age of 10) – $15 per child under the age of 10.
